Mo’s Ribs

  • 1 bottle petite syrah (Stags Leap favorite)
  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 1 1/2 Cups ketchup
  • 2 whole lemon juice only
  • 2 sprigs rosemary, fresh, chopped
  • 4 clove crushed garlic
  • worcestershire sauce
  • oregano
  • parsley minced
  • salt & pepper


Mo gets a little too wordy for this software so this is my version. See a copy of the master print out for his real version.First taste the wine. Then combine the ketchup, juice from 2 lemons, the amount of worcestershire sauce you like, garlic, rosemary, parsley and oregano all to taste or personal desire. Bring to a boil over medium heat for 3 minutes and set aside. Taste the wine. Remove the membrane from the back side of the ribs and cut into 3 or 4 rib sections and rub with salt and pepper. Place the ribs on the grill over medium heat and have a glass of wine. Turn every few minutes until done then brush with sauce several times turning often till done. By now you may need another bottle of wine!


Quantities vary according to taste but you will also need salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, parsley and oregano.  If you don’t have a clue just wing it on the low side, this is a great “can’t miss” recepie.
