Carmelized Onion and Bacon Tarts

Ingredients

  • 4 slice bacon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 yellow onions finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons thyme finely chopped
  • 1 package frozen miniture shell

Notes

Preheat oven to 325. Fry bacon until crispy, reserve bacon and 2 Tof fat. Put 2 tablespoons of the fat back in the pan, add the butter. When the butter starts to bubble add the onions and saute until amber colored. Crumble the bacon and add to skillet along with thyme and salt and pepper to taste. Spoon filling into the pastry cups and bake about 10 minutes.
