    • 1 1/2 Cups ketchup
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
    • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
    • 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tablespoons chopped chipotles in adobo
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 3/4 teaspoon pepper

    • 1/4 cup paprika
    • 1 tablespoon chili powder
    • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
    • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 5 pounds beef brisket

If you want nice tender tasty brisket that will slice into beautiful juicy slices use the last brisket recipe but if you want easy tasty pulled brisket this is your deal! This recipe creates a rich fairly spicy sauce which you can mellow a bit by using half the chipotle in adobo sauce.

Mix all of the sauce ingredients in a bowl and all the rub ingredients in another bowl.  Cut the brisket into pieces that will fit into the cooker, trim off any fat, rub with the spices, place in cooker and pour the sauce over making sure to coat all side of all pieces.  Put the lid on and cook at 275 for 8 hours turning and checking for doneness (190 degrees internal) if not quite done another hour or two will do it.

Remove brisket from cooker, cut into smaller pieces and pull apart with two forks.  Return pulled brisket to the cooker, mix well with the sauce and you’re ready to serve!

Try a nice big bold cabernet with this delicious dish.  You might need two bottles though one for the 8 hour cooking process and one to drink with the brisket.
